Saturday morning, 0530hrs and I’m up and away to the train station heading for London.  It’s the annual SWPP trade show, that’s the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers, the trade show where we as professionals get to see, touch and feel the fabulous products and services our industry has to offer you!  1100hrs and I arrive to meet up with a couple of friends for a coffee and chat over our objectives for the weekend which of course included dinner on Saturday evening, somewhere inspirational, a treat no less! Post coffee we head to the trade show, a gentle double helix spiralling up through the hotel lobby like a massive tube of photographic candy.  I started at the top under a beautiful ceiling greeted by friendly smiles and glittering products freshly laid out for the world to discover. The show was everything I had expected this year, 2017

For me it wasn’t about the show but the conversations and feel of the businesses presenting.  Funnily enough the stands I wanted to visit were average, a little formal, straight laced even, however many stands did take my eye and I found the most beautiful hand crafted matted albums, lovely print boxes and stunning wall art for my images… for you. I found myself imagining shoots, on beaches, by rivers, under mountain sides which led me to decisions as to the products I would take forward, at least for a year. Having returned home tired and inspired I’m ready to start working on presenting the best of the best for my customers. WATCH THIS SPACE
